It is correct that we are experimenting with "no smoking" rooms at some of our hotels. I fully understand your reasons for writing to us and thank you for taking the time to do so, however, you cannot disregard the fact that more and more people quit smoking and if you happen to be a non-smoker entering a room, which though freshly cleaned and aired, still retains a smoke odor, you would not like it too much. By setting aside a few rooms in each hotel for non-smokers we feel it is a service to our guests. Certainly a smoker is always welcome. I feel we do not discriminate anyone in the hospitality industry by not putting up "welcome smoker" sign. A smoker smokes whenever he feels compelled to it no matter where he is.
