ASHRAE TC 2.3 would certainly welcome your co-sponsor- ship. As you may know, ASHRAE publishes the proceedings of its symposia in the ASHRAE Transactions. Like APCA, ASHRAE also sells offprints at the meeting. In my opinion, ffie Transactions and the offprints are undercirculated and fail in a way to give an author the wide audience he oftenideserves. Believe it or not, ASHP4E requires five reviews before-it will let you onithe program. If an author has gone to the troubTe- of satisfying so many reviewers, he deserves reasonably goo&circulation. I know that from time to time APCA publishes small books of symposia proceedings. These can readily reach members who could not purchase offprints at the meetings. What I am leading up to is the possibility of eventually proposing such a book based on 2 to 4 symposia. ASHRAE could host one symposium, APCA could sponsor another, etc. Within the span of a couple of years, we could possibly present Hal Englund with a rather nice packet. You and your committee night consider this possibility of ongoingico-sponsorship. I will raise the matter wit'himy committee. °_ I would be interested in joing TT-7 if Brian Leaderer's membership does not preclude the possibility. In ASHRAE,two persons from the same organization may sit on the same technical committee, but may have only one vote between them.
