Enclosed is a report on Los Alamos prepared by Stu Spencer
and the State Activities Division.
At our request Tarrance & Associates conducted a poll in
Los Alamos on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, December.7 $ 8. The
hand tabulation indicates 44% Zes, 51% no and 5% undecided. The
sample size included 40D1interviews throughout the county. This
is a turn around from the poll taken in September which indicated
54% in favor and 45% opposed. Complete results of this poll will
be available on Monday, December 13.
Hurst Marshall, Vice President of the Western Region4 will
be in the Los Alamos area on Monday and'. Tuesday, December 13 & 14,
quietly obtaining information in order to appropriately evaluate
our activities in this campaign.
I will be talking with you next week via a conference call
for a decision concerning the recommendations in the enclosed report.
