C PROPOSED RESOLU'S'ION RELATING TO AUTHORITY OF SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR IN APPROVAL OF GRANTS AND CONTRACTS:FOR RESEARCH TO BE FUNDED~OUT OF REGULAR RESEARCH BUDGET RESOLVED, effective as of , 1973, that all applications for grants and proposals for contracts for research to be funded out of the regular research budget appropriated from time to time by the Board of Directors shall have the consideration of the Scientific Aduisory Board or a committee of such Board comprising three or more of its members; that any such application or proposal so considered and approved by the Scientific Advisory Bbard or such committee shall'be i funded only if annroved and authorized by the Scientific Director or Acting Scientific Director of The Council or in his absence by the Research Director or if there be none by the Scientific Consultant of The Council; and that the Scientific Director or other said designated person making such authorization shaLl determine the priority of suchigrants and~contracts to be fundpd and the amount, which shall not exceed the amount specified in the application or proposal approved, to be all'oeated to each of suchigrants and contracts.
