I think it important for you gentlemen to know that there are pending in the legislature in New York, 13 anti-smoking, prohi- bition bills. -Four of'these are patterned'after the Arizona law' andione (A11366).would require restaurants, athletic facilities,. . ,.- ;. etc., licensed to sell alcoholic beverages to set aside ~Q°7 of their space for non-smokers. You know, of course, that there is also pending, as a part of the budget bill, the proposall to suspend, the New'York City T/N tax for one year. I think it highly likely that the prohibition'bills and' the T/'N - tax bill will be the subject of vote trading. be shelved'. T/Niproposal will be successful and that the prohibition bills will •=approach in Albany is low--keyed..
