revenues annually.
Passage of this proposal wouldJ In et-
Lect: put the bootleggers out of busi#less
by giving the wholesalers an opportuni'tyr
to compete at the same prices.
Further, with the absence ot bootleg-
ging, and the consequent increase ih the
sale of legitimate cilgarets, the state would
actually gain revenues. -
There Is truly no reason to delay pas-
sage of this legislation. Only the under-
world smugglers would lose, and they
