McCarty, Dey, Judge, Goldsmith, Hobbs, Leitao FROM: Michael Kerrigan SUBJECT: - Westchester County Board of Health Update The Westchester County Board of Health is continuing to perfect the amendments to the Sanitary Code adopted in February before forwarding the amendments to the State Department of Health and the County Attorney's office. The changes being inserted relate to grammatical and legal language perfection. A copy of the perfected amendments will be sent to your office when they are finalized. The review by the State Department of Health and County Attorney's office is expected to take some four months. Once approved by these offices, the Board of Health will determine the date for implementation, which is not expected before January 1, 1980. Our action request of February 23, 1979 requested letters to members of the County Legislature urging their intercession on the basis that an administrative agency of the County should not be adopting regulations in the absence of a legislative finding of their necessity. These letters and telephone calls by company employees to the members of the County Legislatilre are still deemed valuable to our efforts. MJK: smb CC: Messrs.
