A six cell name test will be conducted for Kent U. Six names will be evaluated in a
newspaper portfolio of 8 ads consisting of one Kent test ad, a Vantage ad and 6 ads
for other product categories.
A total of 930 interviews will be completed with non-menthol, filter smokers. The
interviews will be conducted in hi-traffic central location sites in 5 markets.
Each cell will contain 155 smokers and each respondent will be exposed to only one
Kent U test ad while the other ads will remain constant. The sample will be half
male/half female and all respondents will be 21-55 years of age.

Primary areas of questioning will encompass unaided brand noting, message communication
and trial interest.
search Limitntions
The findings of this test will be used solely to aid in determining the most appro-
priate name for the Kent U product. Since the total number of respondents in each
cell is-relatively small, the results will be reported by total respondents and not
by sub-groups.
