A total of approximately 480 placements will be made with smokers of non-menthol, filter, low- .tar brands.* There will be 3 cells of approximately 160 smokers each. We anticipate a total of about 130-140 completed interviews for each cell. Each respondent will .test an,8mg. KGL and a 3m,g test product identified as follows: Cell 1 2mg. tar 2 3mg. ta r 3 4mg. tar Additionally, all of the test products will be in white packs with no brand identifi- cation. Each cell will be composed of half male/half female and respondents will be 21-55 years of age and smoke at least 10 cigarettes per day. *Low tar brands include Winston Lights, Vantage, Marlboro Lights, Carlton, Merit, KGL & Trr Key Crilcria For Annlysis The primary purpose of this research is to aid in determining whether there are differences in consumers' perceptions and acceptance of a 2, 3 and 4mg. cigarette.
