N ESTASLISHED 17190 CI GARETTE3^- TO E3ACCO LORILLARD BUILDCNG CABLE ADDRESS~"LORILLARD " NAY 0 8 18&3 May 6th, 1963 Dr. C. 0. Jensen Research Supervisor Greensboro Branch Greensboro,N. C. Dear Dr. Jensen: We are enclosing copies of two tables which Drs. Homburger and Bernfeld left with the writer when they were in our office last Friday. The data in one table satisfactorily establishes a stronger dose response relationship between phenol in KENT smoke and mucus flow. The other table presents new data on the smoke from three brands of cigarettes, particularly that from Larks. We realize that neither you nor Dr. Schultz will be happy with this latest data. Very truly yours, HBP:SS H. B. Parmele, Ph.D. Enc. Vice President Director of Research
