Subject: Nicotine Addiction
Dear Sirs:
Please take a few minutes to read my letter.
I started smoking Camel cigarettes at the age of 16 years in 1945.
Even though I have attempted to stop numerous times in recent years, I find it apparently impossible to do without help.
I am now 62 years old. I have Emphysema in both of my lungs.
I am not eligible for MediCare or MediCaid. I smoke an average of 2 1/2 packs of Camels a day. This is an addiction which is threatening my very life.
I am asking you for financial help to stop this addiction and reverse the Emphysema.
I will be willing to sign any type of release of liability on your part.
Thank you. Sincerely, Charles E. Smith
