Abstract
This 2-page paper by R.J. Reynolds' Director of Marketing and Planning presents the idea of developing a cigarette for the "beginning smoker." It states that "removing the 'scratch' from a cigarette would definitely help increase the appeal to beginning smokers." It also presents the idea for "a new category of cigarettes built around sweetness, cola, or many other flavor areas."
