A matare scientist (late 40s or early 50s) with graduate
or professional degree and substantial personal experifince in bio-
logically oriented research to act d.s full-time assistant to the
Scientific Director. Ability to int.e.xpret and evaluate investi-
gations and research plans in several di.sciplines, admsnistrative
conipetennce and an aptitude for clarity in written and oral expo-
sition are requisites for the position.
PRINCSPAL DLTIES-
E~traluate research proposalt and progress reports.
Assist in such staff services as are required by
the Scientific Advisory Board.
Consult and serve as scientific liaison with appli-
cants for grants, specific grantees, goverrdmmt
agencies, researchers and instituticns.
Make site visits to grantees and report on the
duct of'pi^ojects. `'
