Dr. Goldstein has been supported previously by CTR Grants (Nos. 642fRi and ARl, 642B/C and D) during the period April 1969 through July 1976. In October 1974 the SAB denih; Application No. 1009 enti tled '$ehavioral and EDG Analysis of the Short-term Effects of Smoking Cessation" submitted by Goldstein and Nelsen. The present application (No. 1274) was considered by the F'acecutive Committee as Case No. 563 and encouraged. REQUEST Application No. 1274 requests $67,643 for the first year of a two year study.
