In general I agree with the ccmments of Dr. Nordsiek on the pre-face sheet. The report of the first six mon ths work consists primarily of an elaboration of the plans (October 1973-March 1974). Apparently most of the testing is done during the summer and the preparations were for intensive work to begin then. A few preliminary tests had beAn run. During the first year about 20 groups of test subjects will have been put through and the statistician has estimated that a total of 45 should be done to get significant number, the justification for the second year. The applicant is asking for 15% of his salary on this project. . The second application submitted this year asks for 10%. Each proposal will also give half-time support for a graduate student. I think that both of these are in good areas for investigation. The decision-making application is a bit more like the driving study that he reported a few years ago. ' W.U.G. WOG:ek
