Jackson Memoria1 Laboratory, Bar 'r:arbcr, Maine, was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, on October 6, 1888. A graduate of Harvard University, where he earned A.B., S.M., ar.d ~.~c. degrees, Dr. Little holds honorary degrees from the University of New Hampshire, Albion College, the University of New Mexico, Colby College, the University of Maine, the University of Chicago, Boston University, Dickinson College and Marietta College. He was President of the University of Maine (1922-25) and of the University of Michigan (172;-==). He is former President of the American Association for Cancer Fesea::::. Internationally knorm. irn the field of cancer investigation, Dr. Litt_e was a Research Fellow in Genetics at Harvard, 1913-17; a Researc:: Associate in Cocaparative Pathology, Harvard Medical School, 1917-16; a Research Associate at Harvard Medical School, 1919-21, and Assistant Director of the Station for EJcperimental Evolution, Carnegie Inst'_ t•.:t:cn of Washington, 1921-22.
