Heterogeneity and Organspecificity" prior to the Annual Meeting. of the American Society of Cell Biology (ASCB), Boston, MA, December 8, 1991. The topic of this symposium is important and timely, since many aspects of "Endothelial Cell .Biology'"; have become the focus of today's basic and. . applied research in cellular biology. For your information, I include a list of the invited (and confirmed) speakers to this symposium as-well as-a recent editorial Vwrote on this theme. The issue of endothelial cell heterogeneity and organspecificity is of particular interest for many of the potential clinical applications, be it passivation of blood contacting surfaces, seeding of vascular grafts, specific targeting of drugs for accurate pharmacological .interventions, gene-therapy, etc. Since.
