have attracted and hope to obtain increased support from various
elements of society that have the capacity to assist in effect-
ively reducing the incidence of today's major diseases.
We believe that the successful execution of our program
will prove of economic benefit to American industry. We are,
therefore, seeking the cooperation of any company interested in
improving the health care system within its own organization
as well as throughout the country. The American Health Founda-
tion; in cooperation with your company, will be pleased to develop
a plan which would result in a reduction, or at least a slow-down,
in the spiralling cost of health care now being borne by the
company.
- For_example, the program will aim at reducing the causes of`
absenteeism (and therefore absenteeism itself), as well as at
improving the health care procedures and health motivation and
awareness of company.employees.
