PENTHOUSE MAGAZINE in its May edition carried a lengthy critical article
on the American Cancer Society. It claimed that donors are not getting
a dollar's worth of cancer programs -for each dollar donated, and that
ACS' close ties with big business hurts its prevention programs.
Also, it says that the media's coverage of ACS "is too often
less than critical or insightful." The magazine said ACS was
unwilling to respond to the criticism.
