The combination is infused at a
rate of 120 to 150 drops per minute
for approximately 1% hours once or
twice aweet;. This therapy is con-
tinued for 8 weeks.
The research team of 18 ph,,
cians, led by Dr. lt'liro-Quesada
stuclied 43 "hopeless" cases. The
patients had a>.ariety of carcinomas
including mamman, bronchogenic.
and pancreatic. All had been treatecl
previously by surger}, radiation, or
other drugs.
Of the 43 patients. 80"', re-
sponded well to the therapy, said
Dr. M iro-Quesada. In even the most
advanced cases that responded, a 3
month to 6 month prolongation oi
life occurred, he said.
