Further to our telephone conversation of January 2, we would appreciate
your making the necessary arrangements to have the salary of Dr. William
L. Steele, Director, Tobacco Institute Testing Laboratory, increased by
$I,330 to $35,330 per year effective January I, 1979. This change has
been approved by each of the members of the Board of Directors of the
Tobacco Institute Testing Laboratory.
