STAFF:
Mrs. Marianne Riemer joined the TITL staff, fillii~g
a lab teclu~ician vacancy. She has some college back-
ground in chemistry ~d pharmacy.
FACILITIES:
After a period of almost trouble free operation,
this was the month to repair the supply fan and the
circulating pump bearings• Unlike some failures, both
instances gave unmistakable audible indications that
repairs were needed.
ACTIVITIES:
The FTC lab is again testing the last pickup.
~Fnatever caused the nicotine problem seems to have
disappeared.

Responses to the brand information request were
coming in slowly, but the FTC lab hopes that all will
be in by the end of the month. They seem anxious to
get the pickup started, so it is conceivsble thst
sampling could start by March 15.
