SUBJECT: Report for June 1979
STAFF :
No changes.
FACILITIES:
Our gas chromatographs were delivered on schedule.
They are in full operation, and while the amount of
data is still limited, Wagner's method seems to work
well. We plan to do nicotine by both procedures for
the entire market sample.
ACTIVITIES:
We have started testing the market sample although
delayed somewhat in order to smooth out the new G. C.
procedure. Looking ahead, our report will probably be
out about the first of October.

The FTC lab hsd expected to start testing on the
10th of June but they have been "...tied up with other
things." What these "things" are hss not been learned
and has been resistant to our efforts to find out.
