FACILITIES:
December was a quiet month with only a fan motor needing
overhaul and a broken wire on a steam generator.
ACTIVITIES:
The long awaited report for Market Sample 23 was released.
By now everyone should have a copy in hand.
The last cigarette sample arrived today from Baltimore.
The contractor claims that his agent claims the original shipment
was lost by UPS. Coincidentally, the Federal Trade Commission
shipment was also lost. We are starting the sample selection pro-
cess immediately and expect to be testing by February I.
The Federal Trade Commission lab has been doing practice
smoking, testing the new machine and the G.C. Nicotine procedure.
They expect to start selecting the test sample by the middle of
this month.
