Dear Josh:
I am sending a set of articles to you relating to research
on cancer causation, together with a bibliographical list of
those articles.
Please let me know whether the scope provided meets your
needs. Additional literature can be provided within the
next week cr two and I can either reduce the volume or
increase the depth in areas that you designate in the second
flight.
The section on prospective studies is not all-inclusive, but
should give you an indication of the range of issues that
are involved. The epidemiology section from the 1982
Surgeon Gene[al's Report is included and covers some o~ the
remaining literature.
Under the heading "Analytic Studies", you will find writings
by Dr. B~rch and Dr. Eysenck that provide an alternative
perspective from which the same data can be viewed.
In the section on lung carcinogenesis, you will find papers
that apply v~rious theories on causation in the lung. The
remaining sections of the bibliography should be
self-explanatory.
Please let me know if the selection meets your needs.
All good wishes.
