The ~bacc0"smoke allergy ~ssue ~ontxnues to be an impor-
tant one ~or the ~ndustry. The research program at Tulane under
Dr. Sa!vaggio has, in our opinion, made a s~gnificant contribution
in this_area as evidenced by numerous.published reports. The
~eseaEca.:s~a~i~~n~p~.rzmen~al stage. and a-fz~th year
Tim Finnegan has discussed the proposal with Dr. Gardner
and he is of the view that support should be continued. We
recommend that the Lehrer proposal be approved for one year in
the amount of $65,755.00.
Your earliest response on this matter would be appreciated.
