lega~ advisor to the project. Gene is available for the following
projects.
~. Clear any public statement Philip Morris plans to make.
Is anyone charged with responsibility for drafting such a
statement? Is one desirable?
2. Attend any taping of comments by third parties, such as
proposed by Alice - John, Foffe~ Douqlas Crieton, Bill Ne~ell and
Professor John Luik.
3. Be in Canada when the decision comes out and fax it to
the appropriate people. Right now, Gene is under instructions to
fa:x it to Gary Long and me. Bradley informed me that Bob. Carew of
the Smith Lyons firm will fax it to h&m. I wi~l make sure Guy,~
Francisco and Alice get cop~es.
4~. Monitor what ~s being said in Canada by R.J. Reynolds
andI I!mperial, and advise Francisco, Bradley, Alice and Garry.
