There is attached a copy o,f the letter dated today that
I have Just sent to Dr. Erlksen by Federal Express. The final
letter differs from the draft of 10,/22/93, previously sent to you,
in o.nly the followlng respects:
( l )
In the last sentence of the paragraph on page 2
starting "Your second inquiry . • ." the lower
range on ppm for Tobacco Extracts has been ellml-
hated so that the sentence now reads solely £n
terms of 2.5 ppm.
The last sentence in the next to the last paragraph
of the letter has been deleted. The deleted sen-
tence started "Cigarettes have a fInal ble~d
nicotine• • .."
I appreciate the cooperation that I have received from
each of the companies. I will let you know promptly, of course, if
I receive any response or further inquiry from Dr. Erlksen.
