[CTR Research Proposals]
Abstract
Summarizes tobacco industry research projects designed to mitigate the relationship between smoking and disease. Offers projects intended to refute "misleading statements regarding cigarette smoking, commonly apprearing in anti-smoking propaganda." Includes several population-based data collection projects. Presents geographic studies designed to establish differences in lung cancer distribution that fail to correspond to differences in smoking habits. Outlines project description, purpose, term, cross reference, and "recommended auspices."
