Endeavor to tie this information to the oeak age of starting smoking, if possib]~, and also to the average age at death in the particular aroa. Decision: 2rocress: Considered by General Counsel on December 17, 1965; further consiceraZion to be given to projects when the results of Dr. Langston's survey of broncho- genic carcinomas at VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois [SP 4] are available; auspices of any continuation after that time, Ad Hoc Committee. Dr. Langston's results have not been evaluated. Drs. Feinstein, Barrett, Brewer may have results to offer on this sub3ect, as a by-product of their work in other fields. Will this be completed by March 1967? Some results will be available. Could this be completed by March ]967? No Should this be continued?
