At CAC.II you asked me to explore an improved
Herzfeld index. This is merely an example of what such
an index would involve and the sort of assumptions which
must necessarily be made or implied. I think it
demonstrates clearly th'at it is not a path we should
encourage anyone to follow at present. But undoubtedly
we should try this exercise from time to time.
As more
information comes in someone else surely will.
