Dear Jim,
I am enclosing three items for proposed discussion at
the BAT Research Conference and, if you agree, I would appreciate
if you could circulate copies of them to the group prior to the
meeting. These are~
l. A paper, entitled "The effect of cigarette smoke vapour
phase on salivary and hog pancreatic =-amylase." In
addition to discussion, we would like to get the group's
reaction to the possible publication of this paper.
2. A memorandum on "The possibility of passive protection
from non-speci fi c toxins", which discusses the expansi on
of the work on ~-an~,lase into a more general hypothesis.
3. A memorandum on "Sodium silicate as an additive tobacco".
